  • Mount outside on trim, projection of bracket helps blinds clear handle
  • Casement windows change handle to a handle that folds down and out of the way or a T-handle [wings]
  • Lever handle, either change to a round knob or egg shape or have handle face down
  • French door handle (lever), either change to a round, egg shaped, turn handle to face downward or have an extension installed on the handle. For plantation shutters on doors, cut outs around the handles are available.

  • If not too late have extension jams installed for at least a reveal of 1 inch
  • Mount as an outside mount on trim. When blind is down trim will completely covered (many times only option)
  • Mount on top of trim, only having material cover the window glass and frame, your trim will show however a soft treatment will most likely be needed to cover the top of the headrail. We call this cheating in.
  • If trim is at least 3.5 inches wide we can at times mount on first impression. which will allow for the majority of your trim to be visible when installed and treatment is lowered.
  • H A R D   T O   R E A C H   W I N D O W S

  • Your hard to reach windows are usually your Atrium Windows, Transoms (small window above a window) Skylights, behind tubs or jacuzzi.
  • These treatments are best treated by battery operated or hardwired coverings. Another option sometimes entertained is window tinting.
